As experienced cabinet makers and lifelong audio enthusiasts, this is our first, and long overdue foray into speaker design and construction. Based on the classic Altec Lansing utility cabinets, these updated 12” coaxial drivers compare to the Altec 601 Duplex and its later big brother the 604. Built from beefy 18mm baltic birch, these high sensitivity (95-100dB) JBL 322c drivers pair well with low wattage amplifiers but can handle up to 400w if you go that way.
